New Month New Goals

July 2, 2018

Happy Monday y'all! I am so excited it's July! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is this month (be looking out for posts about that), I'm house sitting this month, and I love months that start on Sundays. I don't know why, but I love how I feel like it's a good time for a fresh start!

If you read this post then you should know I found my motivation and I am happier than ever to get back on track. I made a July Goals list for myself and I plan on keeping myself accountable to reach my goals even when set backs occur. I have a monthly view of July where every time I can see what goals I want to achieve and what goals I am actively doing.

For example: On July 1st, I marked that I had work (the brown line) and that I swam (the blue line). All the brown lines are the days I have work. I marked them in advance to not only let me know I have work, but to remind myself those days I will have to head to the pool in the morning since swimming in the afternoon won't be an option. Every day that I swim, I'll color in a blue line on that day. I colored in a blue line after taking these photos lol but I did swim today! The peach color is the color for my blog! I have this week's post planned & written so I colored in the days I'll be posting!

I have a million journals (sorry not sorry) so I picked an old journal I've used for so many random events and created my goals list along with a monthly calendar. I was tempted to go out to Target and buy a cute journal with some motivational quote on the front, but I resisted my urge and made my own template in this journal.

The way I'm keeping myself accountable is writing my thoughts about the day on the back of my food & exercise log! (In the photo above) I wrote how I felt about swimming, my ideas for the blog, and about how today I would have to wake up early to swim (which I did!)

I figured out the reason why I fell into a slump was because I didn't establish a routine for myself and that made me feel unorganized which led to me feeling lazy and not wanting to do anything. I'm very routine based and if I don't have one or have at least a plan of what to do I go crazy! I'll keep y'all posted on my progress throughout the month, to see daily updates follow my Instagram!

Thanks for reading y'all! I'll see you Wednesday for a 4th of July OOTD!
