Hi y'all! I can't believe that we're in the month of April. That means three months are already done! I cannot believe how fast time flies by. Today's post is not related to fashion or anything beauty related, so I apologize, but I just wanted to share a new perspective I learned about.
On Monday I did not have that productive of a day. I felt sluggish and slow, I blame the fact that I have a cold as to why I felt like that. I was scrolling through my Instagram stories when I came across another blogger who said to view life in the eyes of a CEO.
You're the CEO of your own life and your life is your business. So that means first quarter is over and it's time to reevaluate how your business did. You should be looking at things that worked and things that didn't work over the past three months. Obviously you should continue doing whatever works best for you, but also start giving attention to things that did not work so you can fix them by the end of the next quarter.
For example, during the month of February I was still in swim season and I had a set routine. That worked for me and I liked knowing that everyday around 3PM/4PM I had to go to swim practice. Now that swim season is over I struggle going to the gym more because I know I do not have to go. So moving forward I know I like a set routine of working out around 3PM so I should now clear my schedules around 3PM to designate it as a workout time.
I took time on Monday to evaluate what's been working for me and I plan on trying new lifestyle adjustments moving forward so I am more productive and efficient. So for example, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have a lift with my team at 3PM, so now on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday my new goal is to workout at 3PM whether it be weight lifting or going for a long run.
I like this perspective because I am someone who likes fresh starts after I fall out of my routine. I used to be that person that pushes everything off to the beginning of the new year, this blog is example A haha. I always start blogging again in the beginning of the year, but this time my goal is to blog 2-3 times a week until the end of the second quarter (June).
I've been very busy with a lot of responsibilities and being someone who always goes the extra mile I always struggle trying to go the extra mile in every single thing I do. I like this way of thinking because I naturally think of life in various business models so this really spoke to me when I found it on Instagram. I hope this perspective interests you and helps you achieve whatever goals you've been putting off. I'll keep you guys posted on how everything is going, until then, thank you for reading!
