January Favorites

I cannot believe the first month of the New Year is almost over! It feels like January 1 was just yesterday. 11 more months until 2017 and 5 more months until June, my summer break! As the temperatures drop my want for a warm beach day increases. I may love the summer, but I also enjoy the cold and snow. This January may have flown by, but I still have a few favorites.

Fashion Favorites:

Waking up at 5:45AM every morning for school was not easy especially after a week of sleeping in. There were quite a few days when I overslept and didn't lay out my outfit the night before. January had quite a few lazy days, which I am not proud of, but what else could I do? To me a lazy day consists of a Lululemon headband and leggings with a comfy shirt. Ironically all of my favorite outfits from this past month were lazy days.

I know lazy days are usually simple, but I think that's why I love them. I love this look because of the red headband I am wearing. It's from Lululemon and it's my favorite outfit of all the ones I own. I remember I was quite confident as I wore this outfit even though it is quite simple.

I love this outfit because my hair was in french braided pigtails and my scarf kept me warm all day. There were a few times during the day I had to remove my scarf because I was feeling overheated. If you're looking for a scarf that is cute and can keep your warm, go to Target! I also love how oversized my spirit jersey is and how on the back it says, "Island Life".

My favorite piece of this outfit is the oversized J.Crew Boys Secret Wash gingham shirt. I realize this is a boy's shirt, but it is so soft and comfy I didn't care it came from the boy's section! Whenever I wear this shirt I feel like I am wearing a cozy blanket. The vest is also a favorite of mine. I was on the hunt for it last year, but I couldn't find one in my size. This year when I saw it, I didn't hesitate to buy it. 

Makeup Favorites:

I love makeup, I love putting makeup on every morning, and I love how confident I feel when wearing makeup. I am always on the hunt to try new makeup products. This month I fell in love with an old mascara. I bought this mascara because I heard many YouTubers obsessing over it so I thought I would see what the big deal was.

I fell in love with L'Oréal Waterproof Voluminous Hydrofuge mascara! In the middle of the month I started using this product again and I fell in love again. This mascara helps hold the natural curl of my eye lashes, lasts all day without flaking, and voluminizes my lashes. For a drugstore mascara, Voluminous Hydrofuge is amazing! I love having long, thick lashes since my natural lashes are very small and L'Oréal's Voluminous Hydrofuge gives me those lashes.

Along with having beautiful lashes everyday, I want a smooth and clear face. My skin is quite healthy and I don't really need any face makeup. I choose to wear a tinted moisturizer or BB creams to even out my complexion. To make sure my tinted moisturizer lasts all day, I use Bare Minerals Prime Time BB Primer-Cream in medium every day. The purpose for having a tint to the primer is so I can wear just the primer and still have an even complexion. The Prime Time BB Primer-Cream offers a very light coverage which is why I only use it as a base and then add one coat of the Bare Minerals Complexion rescue Tinted Moisturizer. 

January felt quite short, but I still had favorites from this past month. What were your favorites for this month?
