I'm an Alumni Now?

July 10, 2017

It's crazy to think that I graduated from high school exactly one month ago. Everyone said that high school would go by fast. Then I kept hearing that senior year will flash before your eyes. I have to say, all of that couldn't have been more accurate. It all happens so fast I barely noticed how much time had passed.
Driving to graduation, I'm not going to lie, my eyes watered like Niagara Falls. The only reason I didn't shed tears is because I didn't want to ruin my eyeliner. Yes, I am that girl lol but also I hate crying before going in public.

As I waited in my high school for the ceremony to start I saw my classmates and it slowly sunk into my mind how we will all never be in the same place at the same time ever again. We all had to be there so we were, but now we no longer have to enter that building or even think of it. I'll miss high school, I'm not one of those kids who loathes their high school experience.

I am so excited to continue my career at Susquehanna University. I can go on for hours about why I love my college, but I'll spare you that torture. Finding a college that is perfect for me was my fear all throughout high school. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Sitting in my chair listening to my peers' speeches I realized how amazing it is that my classmates and I are all going down our own paths. Some will join the army, some will go to medical school, some will pursue their love for engineering and some will choose to not go to college.
I also realized how amazing my friends are as I saw them walk across the stage receiving their diplomas. I cannot believe I was able to find such amazing people who supported me through my best times and my worst times. I cannot thank them enough for helping me through high school.
Receiving my diploma is when I was finally able to wrap my head around the idea that I was ending my time in high school. Excitement and nostalgia overwhelmed my mind. I couldn't believe I was wearing a cap and gown with a diploma in my hand.
I would like to thank all my friends and family for supporting me through everything. I would also like to thank my teachers even though I know only one of them knows this blog exists. I could not have become the person I am today without them.

Keep following the blog for more updates about my life and for more beauty & fashion posts
