2018 Recap!

December 31, 2018

Hello y'all! I want to first off thank you for taking the time to read this post and any other post from 2018 that you read. It really means a lot to me that y'all read my posts especially after I disappear for a few weeks or months (like this past semester). I once again plan on posting more in the upcoming year. For now enjoy a recap of 2018!

January

In 2019 I redesigned my dorm room because my double turned into a single so I switched sides of the room and decorated how I originally wanted. I also started posting to the blog more! Check out my January posts here

February

Two big things happened for me in February: 1) I got into a sorority 2) I went to my first college swim champs. These were really big landmarks for me. I absolutely love my team and my sisters. I talked about it in my monthly favorite post! Read all of my February posts here.

March

After getting into my sorority the next month before I was initiated I found my big! Her name is Jill and she is my other half. It's amazing how alike we are and how lucky we were to find each other in the short amount of time we had to get to know each other.

April

[Peep the boyfriend! I don't share photos of him often, but he is actually the man behind the camera 90% of the time!]

I was super busy in the month of April, but the blog was one of the reasons why! I made 8 posts during this month! That's a lot considering and I am so proud I found the time to create so much content for y'all! During the month of April I attended my boyfriend's fraternity formal and my own swim formal! Below is one of the posts I made in April, but you can find them all here too.

May

I went to New York for my first time to see my boyfriend compete in a triathlon race. He showed me around his hometown and got me out into nature (shocking, I know!) for a little hike by a stream by his house. After our fun weekend get away we returned to campus for finals. This was when one of the few all nighters I pulled. I had to write my English final paper due the next morning! It got done and I got an A so all ended well except me - I was heavily sleep deprived. You can find all my posts from May here!

June

I was home for the full month of June and enjoyed being home. I went on a mini nature walk with my best friend and enjoyed being back home with my dog. I also posted a lot during the month of June, partially because my boyfriend came to visit me so I dragged him to a bunch of different locations for blog photos!

July

Most of the month of July I spent house sitting for family friends. One of the houses I house sat for had this adorable puppy named Winnie. She was 17 weeks old when these photos were taken. She is much bigger now and hopefully less energetic. I loved watching her, but I learned high energy dogs are not for me haha! Here are the other posts from July!

August

Part of my house sitting job went into August. At this house I watched very big dogs like this good boy! His name is Riggins and he is a mix of a German Shepard and Rhodesian Ridgeback. He is the biggest and sweetest animal I have ever met. At the end of month I moved back into college for my sophomore year! Here are the rest of the posts from August

September

I spent a lot of time with my friends catching up from the summer and adjusting to sophomore year. Owen and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary the first weekend of the semester. My big and I went out and got some cute pics ;) The first month of school is always the most fun!

October

This past year it felt like there was no fall and that we went straight from summer to winter! There was one lucky weekend where it truly felt like fall. My sorority had a sisterhood where we all went pumpkin picking! I'm with my Big's Big (my G!) in the photo above. Later in the month I had the opportunity to go to Tesla and ride in one! What an amazing car! I was extremely impressed and riding in one was quite an experience.

November

During this past semester I was a mentor for some first-year business students. I helped them analyze a failing business and create recommendations to save the business that they later presented to a panel of alumni. My students did an amazing job and I was so proud watching their final presentation.
I was also home for Thanksgiving and I got to see family like my cousin who has been coming to Thanksgiving dinner for over 10 years!

December

The photo above is one of the photos I almost used for the business I run on campus. I was busy this month for finals and swimming. When I got home my Dad took my photo with my dog for the Christmas Card. My dog howled the whole time so here was one of the many photos where he is not looking at the camera. We did manage to get a few photos where he is looking at the camera.

2019 will be quite a busy year for me and I cannot wait to share it all with y'all. Thank you for reading this post and all of my other 2018 posts! Cya tomorrow for the first 2019 post!
