Peplums? Still trendy?

Remember when peplums became popular? A few years ago? Don't really know? It's ok me too, but I do remember buying a ton of dresses and shirts that were peplum style. If I'm being honest I knew that the peplum trend would be more than just a seasonal trend for me.

I've always had peplum tops in my closet since they became popular like this one I shared on the blog here! I love peplums because if I go out to eat a big meal and I get a little bloated the peplum detailing of the shirt or dress hides my stomach haha!

I love this shirt not only for the stripes, but because of the lace that sits on the peplumed part of the shirt. I love love loooovvee lace detailing and stripes! Such a great summer top that I kept it pretty simple with my accessories and shoes.

Jack Rogers are my favorite shoes for the summer. I've had this pair for years now! They really last a long time if taken care of properly. I love how versatile they are; they can be worn casually or more dressed up. I always look out for sales so I can buy multiple pairs at once!

I wore this outfit yesterday to brunch with an old friend. After eating such a big meal we walked around the town we live in and he showed me all the new apartments that were built in the past year. They're absolutely gorgeous and every tenant has access to one of the nicest clubhouses I've ever been in.
