Hi y'all! I hope everyone has been taking time to relax with this crazy heat. We're halfway through July, I can't believe how fast this summer is flying by! Earlier in June I went to the Outer Banks and I was able to relax at the beach and by the pool.
This week I'm going back to the beach with a friend so I figured today I'm sharing some of my beach day essentials! All I need to do is pack these in a bag and I'm all set.
These sunglasses my boyfriend actually gave to me since I lost my other pair of aviators. I usually prefer club masters, but the aviator look is slowly growing on me. I also love that this pair has a mirrored effect to the lens.
I normally tan 99% of the time I'm on the beach, but I still use sunscreen just to protect my skin from sun damage. I really like the Hawaiian Tropic sunscreens, this particular one dries really fast so I feel there is not awkward waiting time to get in the pool or ocean.
I always take a water bottle with me to stay hydrated. I typically use my Hydroflask, but I found this Yeti at a local shop. I adore the color! I have been really impressed with its ability to keep my drink super cold even when I leave it in the hot sun.
Typically I like to listen to music or a podcast. I like to listen to music at the beach, but when I am lounging around the pool I enjoy listening to a good podcast. I've been hooked on the podcast How I Built This by Guy Raz. The show is sponsored by NPR and Raz interviews entrepreneurs of the famous companies. I personally love his interview with Kate Spade and Kendra Scott! If you have any really good podcast recommendations leave them below!
I've linked a few other items that I absolutely cannot live without at the beach/poolside that I don't have photos of, but I hope you enjoyed this post! See you for the next one :)
